Privacy Policy

1. General

SCENTEC CO., LTD. (the "Company") operates odorcast.com (the "Service") in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and related laws, and is committed to protecting users' personal information. This policy explains what information we collect and how it is used, stored, and destroyed.

2. Information Collected and Collection Methods

  • At sign-up (required) — name, nickname, email address, password
  • Automatically generated during use — IP address, cookies, access timestamps, service usage records (e.g. searched addresses)
  • Collection methods — entered directly by the user during sign-up or use of the Service, or collected automatically

3. Purpose of Collection and Use

  • Membership registration, account management, and identity verification
  • Provision and operation of the air-sanitation (odor) forecast and diagnosis services

4. Retention and Use Period

In principle, personal information is destroyed without delay upon membership withdrawal. However, the following records may be retained as required by law:

  • Website access logs — 3 months (Protection of Communications Secrets Act)
  • Records on contracts or withdrawal of offers — 5 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)
  • Records on consumer complaints or dispute resolution — 3 years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce)

5. Provision to Third Parties

The Company does not provide personal information to third parties, except with the user's prior consent or where required by law or lawful investigative procedures.

6. Outsourcing of Processing

The Company may outsource processing to the extent necessary for operating the Service (e.g. server hosting). Any such outsourcing, including the contractor and the scope of work, will be disclosed through this policy.

7. Destruction of Personal Information

Personal information whose retention period has expired or whose purpose has been fulfilled is destroyed without delay. Electronic files are deleted using irreversible technical methods; paper documents are shredded or incinerated.

8. Rights of Data Subjects

Users may at any time view or edit their personal information, or request membership withdrawal (withdrawal of consent) via My Page or by contacting the privacy officer. Requests are handled without delay.
